What works well for my husband and I is the 2 net method. One of us will coral the fish down to one side of the tank and the other one will catch them. It works quite well.

Golden Ram question

Just a thought...

Can I successfully have golden rams (2?) in a community tank with congo tetras, boeseman rainbowfish, kuhli loaches, and a bristlenose pleco?

I should mention that I did the light change and loads of water changes for a while before trying the purigen and while it did help some, it didn't fully clear up until I put the purigen in my filter.

I think a combination of changing my lights...

I think a combination of changing my lights (raising them and cutting back on the time they were on) and purigen helped to clear up my green water. It took about 3 days for my water to clear up.

They seem to be happy, they were swimming around like nuts before the light came on...

I have a 750 gal/hour power head in my tank so I hope that is enough water movement. All the plants sway in the current, even the smallest leaves on my crypts right next to the gravel.
