Take some of the old substrate and stick it in...

Take some of the old substrate and stick it in some pantyhose and leave that in the tank for a few weeks. I helps to establish the bacteria in the new substrate

I have not seen any of my pygmies hunt down shrimplets. In fact when I feed the shrimp the cories eat the same food right along side the shrimp no matter how big or small. I have even seen them fight...

So I have noticed that now when I feed the fish in my tank the shrimp go absolutly crazy. They all try to get to the top of the tank. The ones that make it there eat the fish food from the waters...
