FWIW, mine did the same thing over the last few months. Also have been seeing a lot of individual rushes coming loose. There's been some new growth, but overall I've got less than I came home with....

There's nothing wrong with the type of lamps...

There's nothing wrong with the type of lamps you're using. It might help to run one set for 8-10 hours and the other set for an extra light spike for 2-3 hours in the middle, as 4 x 35 watts all day...

He might still be on to something, though: my KH is about 3-4, I'm dosing P at 1/8 tsp/3x wk/50 gal, and the GDA keeps trying. So the KH could be the catalyst.
