Thanks crazy & yoink. That's what I feared. I had balas in a tank years ago, but they didn't do well for me. So I thought I'd try them again.

I'll have to see if the LFS will let me exchange them...

I have a 36g bowfront tank, planted with mostly swords. So far I've got several rasboras, two ottos, and two bala sharks. I'm having an algae breakout and thought adding some shrimp would be helpful...

Thanks Wasser. Although I do have 2x65w lights, one is actinic and I don't really consider it of much value to the plants. So I'm really looking at 65w over my 36 gallon which puts me at 1.8wpg.

I had the same problem with a bubble wand in my 10g tank. I poked new holes, didn't help. Tried a stronger pump, didn't help. Eventually I just got rid of it.
