I live in jersey city, just across the river from NYC. However, recently a plant package from new York city took three calendar days to arrive. By driving it takes only half an hour!

I want to add that you probably do not have to use RO water for discus as long as you do not plan to have them lay eggs for you. But higher temperature Will make them happy.

Temperature is not a problem. Mine grows very well in a tank of 80F. Potassium sulfate is not supposed to change your pH. This plant likes a lot of light, otherwise the lower leaves will shed.

It does kill the staghorn algae within 2 days. Nothing is changed and I added only once, a cap for every 10 gallon. I didn't turn on the filter though.

:smile:I have long heard the algae killing effect of SEACHEM EXCEL but never tried until recently, when my new setup tank is infected by Staghorn algae, some green hair, and BBA. It looked horrible....
