I run 2 x 15watt T12 fluorescent bulbs (18" linear bulds) on my 10gallons.


ive also used the stock 10gallon hoods with 2 x 13watt CFL's (spiral energy saver bulbs), i prefer the t12's they give...

Your probably thinking of a DE bulb (double ended MH bulb) looks almost identical to a halogen bulb, just a bit...

around 90% reflective even with home depot brand paints (from what ive read)

Could be a possible cheap fix for those without the $$ to go buy...

i was using an Eheim 2215 on my 10g, and took it out after a day. too much flow, to big, yatta yatta.


why not check out those ZOOmed, nano turtle canisters?
