The red cinder we get here is typically around 1/2" and larger sized pieces, with some smaller stuff. The black is typically under 1/2".

Cinder is another name for the lava rock in your link. Cinder is formed from volcanic activity, quite a lot out here. There is typically black and red available, black tends to be smaller.
