I have a 45g and it seems like once a week the duckweed has completely covered the surface. From the bottom it looks like once it fills in it starts to pile on top of each other.

So I took out the Co2 and changed to six 14W spiral CFLs with reflectors.

The MTS is capped with Eco Complete and black blasting sand. The lights are 4 24" 24W T-5HO.
