I have a 14g Oceanic BioCube and want to upgrade to LED lights. This is for a freshwater planted tank. The standard bulbs were swapped out for some 6700k bulbs but the tank is still running to hot....

I also have an Aquatek regulator. The best thing I ever did was put on the Fabco NV.....you can't beat it and it has saved me lots of co2 and I no longer have to worry about co2 spikes

Get a metal colander and use that to rinse a little at a time. Sounds like a lot of work but I found it to be the easiest and fastest. I did it this way and my tank didn't get cloudy at all.

I don't seal my sump at all and I seem to use the same amount of co2 as other that seal theirs. So much easier to work with and do routine maintenance without it being sealed.

Go with the sump....I have one on my 90g and it is well worth it. It will take a little longer to get the right amount of co2 so get yourself a very good DC.

There is no way it needed to be recharged after 2 days. It will start to turn brownish but that doesn't mean you need to recharge it or that it needs to be. It just means its working.

I have a bamboo and 2 vampire shrimp and I don't feed them anything special. They are very good at hiding and get along very well with the RCS and other fish on the tank..
