ancistrus claro are about half the size of the bnp's, but I have only found rumors of them state-side. See a few people on the catfish forums who claim to have them in Europe.

I'm honestly impressed with the picture of that CPD.

A sponge filter+heater, depending on your weather, on a 5.5g would probably be plenty for a micro-fish hospital tank. If you do end up...

The tolerance gouramis display towards other fish in a community setting varies between individuals. Many keep them in community settings with success, but an angry gourami is quite capable of...

Also, is your light not on a timer? They are so cheap, there is no reason not to have one for a planted tank. It's just asking for problems.

Stablized vitamins, like vitamin C, have a shelf life. I tend to pay closest attention to vitamin C. Stabalized vitamin C in pet foods (e.g. fish flakes, waffers, guinnea pig pellets) begins to lose...

I did it with peacock moss, minus the yogurt, for a dry start. It worked very well. Journal here (http://www.plantedtank.net/forums/showthread.php?t=455193&highlight=).

Cherries are a neo, so with the range of conditions acceptable to neos. Might want to look around a bit on this forum.

Neos can handle fairly hard water. Anything less than around 150TDS with...

Changing from a cycled to uncycled filter is an obvious issue. That doesn't seem to be OP's issue. "one by one" sounds like deaths over a longer period of time than an ammonia spike would cause. And...

TDS, GH, KH? Without those parameters, hard to help. From your limited description, I might guess bad molts. As for the planaria, reducing food alone probably won't eliminate them. Fenben is...

Pictures would probably help if possible. How often do you change the water? I see the tank is only 2 months old, and frequent water changes tend to be beneficial for newer tanks.

What does...

Amano shrimp can reproduce in fresh water. Done here locally. The water is much harder than most people keep tropical fish or any other shrimp in. You can say it can't be done, but I have seen the...

Getting ready to produce eggs. Amano shrimp will reproduce in very hard water, like central valley groundwater, which sits around 333+ TDS and 12-16gh/kh.

I have had amano shrimp survive copper treatments and 4.0ppm+ ammonia. I wouldn't worry about pH difference considering your other parameters. I move mine between tanks without acclimating anymore.

A good start before diving into c02 is to learn as much as you can about lighting. Light is best measured in PAR for our purposes. For a non-c02 tank, you are probably going to aim for about 25 PAR...
