That's because Goldfish have no stomachs...

They produce a lot of waste. You'll definitely need to vacuum the gravel, but like others have said, just do the surface.

I can't remember what they sold them to me as, but I know it wasn't as a Rainbow. They had them in a tank marked as something else, and they were only a couple dollars a piece.
