I have a regular "in tank" filter with a bio-bag....

I have a regular "in tank" filter with a bio-bag. Can i put the purigen in my filter to help speed up the removal of tannins?

I have the same heater as TLE041 in my 5.5...

I have the same heater as TLE041 in my 5.5 gallon, hidden under the substrate and it keeps my tank at a constant 74deg.F

It will attach itself to driftwood or rocks.

I took some java moss out of my 2.5gallon bowl and attached it to some driftwood in the new tank. I also am picking up some anubias today.

Great pictures. I am starting a 5.5 gallon right now and I plan on planting an anubias on my driftwood. I'm glad to see that it works.

The rock in the above picture looks pretty close, lots of rocks here in CO look similar, too.
