Wow, they must have changed Floramax. I bought it yesterday and it looks like black crushed lava rock. Very uniform in size. Just wonder if it's black naturally or dyed.

I'm using Safe T Sorb and found the KH drop to be temporary. It only lowered for about 2 weeks at most. The KH of my water supply is usually about 5 and the aquarium water reads the same.

You dont want to mix phosphates with your iron (Fe). It will cause Fe to precipitate out. You can dose at the same time however, but not from the same container.

If you already have the probe, no reason not to use it. People often use a probe and controller to shut off CO2 via a solenoid valve when, the pH gets too low.
