All plant's will benefit from CO2 but it ain't gonna speed up growth...

As lighting period is five hours now,and algae is appearing you need to raise the light up away from the surface or shade the light .IMHO

Some are interested in how long one might be able to go without water changes and other's ponder what % might get them buy or be ideal for their particular method.
I tend to favor 50% water changes...

The other osmocote product's routinely contain macro nutrient's .
That which you show (photo) also contain's micro nutrient's = good.

They must if they wish to survive.
Intensity of the light is far more important when combating algae and or growing...
