Good advice. I would consider a TDS pen a necessary tool for any serious shrimp keeper. I would also highly recommend picking up an API GH and KH test kit as well.

A light solution of potassium permanganate is my preferred plant dip. It's generally easier on the plants than bleach. I would still recommend a quarantine period.
