About 3-4 weeks ago I bought two small Blyxa Japonica, and I've now split them into four. The two originals were doing very well, and now that they've turned into four, and recovered, they are...

I use a 20lb CO2 Tank on my high-tech tank (40g long), my CO2 is going at a rate of 3bps, for 7 hours total, a day. I've had it since last May, and the working pressure hasn't budged. I can assume it...

Well they didn't have any Aqueon pros left nor did they have a 200 Watt heater. Only ones were Marina, a 50 Watt and a 300 watt. So I went for the overtop, and got the 300 Watt. I put it in my tank,...

I personally, have mine turned off at night. I just don't see much of a point in it. I have it turn off an hour before nighttime, and have a air pump that runs a air stone and gases it off anyway. I...

I typically don't really worry for a week of being gone. With all the plants in the tank, there's a pretty good chance you have quite a bit of microorganisms. I do feed a bit heavily right before I...

At Bed Bath and Beyond? Wow nice find :hihi:

Blue Fish, another LFS, has primarily Deep Blue tanks, and they are very nice, solid looking tanks. I also really like that black silicone too.

Adding another bulb?

Currently my 40 long is doing quite well, but I'd like to be able to grow a carpet and my current lighting spread isn't exactly spectacular.

I have two T5HO 6500K bulbs retrofitted into an old T8...

One of the LFS I go too around here, the owner recommended a 200 Watt heater, but I don't know if that would be too much or too little. The 125 Gal SW tank has a 300 Watt Eheim and its running...

I'm having the same problem. I have a 40 long, 48"x13"x17", 2 54 T5HO, and CO2. My rotala indica is big, lush and bushy. But my ludwigia repens and wisteria have hit a wall it seems. I also have...

Trying Shrimp again.

Despite having great tap water here in GR (tap water is 178TDS), I think the old copper pipes in my house might be the suspects. Either that and/or the combination of my tank not being truely cycled...

I use my low tech 10g to house new fish. If medication is needed, the fish are being moved, but it creates a pretty nice environment for the new guys, and it also keeps my tank cycled :hihi:

It's not too terribly large. It was $150.00 deposit for the tank (it's aluminum), and it's 6.99 for a refill. I can't complain about that deal. I was originally using those disposables, it's already...
