Are you sure you have the 36 watt Archaea fixture? The 36 watt fixture is 18" long. I had one and used the linked Eiko bulb after the original burned out. Maybe you have the 27 watt power compact?...

I have both diffusers and like the inline more. The Co2 seems to be better distributed, and you don't have a diffuser and tubing in the tank.

the marineland double bright probably won't be enough light. a better choice would be a finnex fugeray or ray 2, depending on how deep the tank is. or you could build your own.

That's definitely duckweed. It's a great nitrate sponge, but it gets everywhere, including your arms and whatever else you stick in the tank.

You can secure it to a piece of driftwood or rock, or leave it on the substrate. Just don't plant the rhizome, the thick green stem, or else it'll rot.
