Maybe it is not getting enough light? I have to plant mine right under the bulbs in the center of my tank or it just melts away, except in my tank that has DIY Co2 going into it.

It only mats up in my aquariums with the t5 fixtures. In all the other tanks it goes everywhere. It did grow nice in a low light tank I had with Co2.

My experience with this plant is it loses the lower leaves when it is not getting enough light. When I cut it and replanted it directly under my light it grew new leaves.

It is a 30g Long with 2 t5ho bulbs(one 10000k and one 6500k). The substrate is floramax and black sand. No Co2 at the moment but as soon as my bubble counter comes in the mail I will have it.
