Thanks for the advice, I will try it for a month or so and see what happens. Will probably have to give the badis away since they won't enjoy the auto feeder :/

Actually, it moves with the current, seems to want to fall off... I'm really tempted to use some tweezers to pull it off. Probably a bad idea.

It is definitely not very fluffy.

Yeah just give it time, mine took almost 2 months to really start going, but its definitely a snowball effect. It ends up everywhere, runners seem to span the entire tank sometimes.
