Dwarf cichlids can go for an extremely high price. Sturisoma twig catfish can be expensive as well. Altums and discus are always expensive. Some cory catfish can be expensive as well.

Swordtails may bother the shrimp. So may the dwarf cichlids. German blue rams and the checkerboard cichlids are real nice in my opinion. Checkerboards if you want peaceful inhabitants.

German Blue Rams, once established, can be real hardy. But the temperature was really low for them during that one week period. They may recover, but you'll have to do things slowly. Good luck!

I don't think there should be a betta. I think you're missing a focal point fish. You should consider getting like German Blue Rams or Apistos or something like that. You have a lot of fish groups...

Same as above, and the Rainbows do better in hard, alkaline water. Most of your fish love soft, acidic water.

Dwarf cichlids such as rams are ok in a 5-10 gal tank as a pair. But if you want a harem of them, try checkerboard cichlids; they're much more peaceful.
