Yup, water is crystal (has been for many months) and easily tolerates overfeeding. There is algae, but only in areas where expected. Very minor, needs little/no attention.

Thanks guys, feeling...

Yep, I know they don't float around, but if you're adding a liquid 'moar bacteria' solution, I'd want it circulating and touching as much as possible.

Also see why you just added to the...

Yeah, I was thinking that if I did 25% WCs daily for a week it should help.
The plants are part of it, but the sump is chock full of pot scrubbies, so that's the other area.
Didn't know about the...

Fish update
One of the angels died - I believe ate too large a chunk of flake food. Kinda sad to see the last one just kinda hanging out. At least the good news is that whatever those cardinals...

Established tank, how many fish can be added at once?

So I have the opportunity to get some neon tetras locally for quite a good price. The catch is I don't have a ton of time to spend driving around to fish stores these days, so I want to get a whole...

Plexi is, unfortunately, a terrible material for aquarium tops. I learned this from experience - somewhat unbelieveably it sags due to the high humidity. After 24 hours I could already see bowing,...

When I moved to the BML XB, I split the photoperiod - 1100-1500, 1730-2130. The only algae I have is the black stuff on driftwood (been there since day1 really), and the fish keep that under...

I can't comment on the Finnex, but I have a BML XB 10000k (upgraded from a standard BML 10000k), and it is worth every penny. I also have the 90 - you would only do a smaller angle if you were...
