Just don't be surprised if it's the only plant left in your tank after a couple months. It will choke out just about every other plant.

Keep 'em well fed with snails and they shouldn't touch the babies. They only lay a single egg at a time, usually on an anubias or java fern. If I were to hazard a guess, maybe a single egg every 3-4...

Pretty dang normal. Back when I had about a dozen there was almost always 2-3 pairs mating. I've seen a pair latched together for what seemed like an entire week.

I had an ebi setup for a little bit and liked it. I had no issues with the backround, right out of the box I made sure it was relatively secure, which it was. It never did pop off. The filter is OK....

I'd be keeping low grades neos in it so I don't mind if most of the babies get eaten, so long as some survive to continue the generation. Have they colored up fine? No excess sparring between males?

The worst part is that they're not sakuras. Just regular cherry shrimp, and most have bad coloring. Of course the aquarium newbies come in and are all like, "Whoa! A red freshwater shrimp?!"
