It's a brand new tank. Why should he have to put it on a mat of any kind? Exchange it for one built the right way. Why should the onus be on him later on down the road when it leaks?

Where you have the straightedge is a moot point. It's the bottom of the trim that matters. And I can see the curve there. Without the straightedge. Is this a new tank? If yes I'd look to exchange it....

That would matter. I've got a 20 L that rock diagonally. I'm going to put a shim to stop the rocking. Same thing I'd do with yours.

If the middle of the frame had the gap then it wouldn't matter....

I just look at the difference in actual size of the 10 gallon tanks I have. The older ones are larger than the Tetra 10 but all are considered 10 gallon tanks.

Shrimpcrazy I found out at our last Tampa Bay Aquarium Soc. meeting that GE actually makes a silicone that sticks to slate. Theoretically you could paint the slate with silicone.
