I bought a ZooMed 501 and I've got it hooked up to my 5.5. So far I love the filter. Its quiet and efficient. I think its actually quieter than the in-tank filter it replaced.

Ken's 2.5

Hey everyone!

I've decided to rebuild what was my overgrown moss/shrimp tank into something a little different (and more attractive) than my previous tanks. I'd been stuck in a rut of Flourite...

You might be on to something with the floaters to break up the light or create some shading.

To answer your question - I use a glass top and my light sits about 3 inches above the tank. ...

Hey Scott, Welcome!

I'm jealous. I'd love to set up a 2.5g at work, but they don't let us plug anything in. So my betta just gets a bowl with some java fern and moss. He loves the fern too,...

Name the deficiency

Hey guys,

I tried searching for this, but I can't seem to find an answer. My java ferns seem to be 'fading' at the tips. I have three plants in 2 tanks and they are all doing the same thing. An...

I kinda liked the rock. But it did open it up and make the tank look bigger. Personally, I'd put it back, but I'm no expert in scaping.

I like the way your tank looks using common plants. And...

I really like your tanks. I think the castle is awesome, kinda like your artistic signature on each one. In the 'natural' setups here, the plants are the focus. In yours the plants blend into the...
