I also use a walmart LED bulb. The ten gallon tank has only been setup for two weeks, so I haven't seen any growth yet. It's a 40 watt daylight bulb.

That should work just fine. I had corys in my 29 two years ago and they regularly spawned. Their tankmates were 3 gouramis and 10-12 neon tetras.

I would upgrade your filter so you can get more biological filtration. I would make sure the tank is fully cycled before reintroducing any fish into the tank. Then add fish slowly.

Wow. My two plants are 6-8 inches tall, so they are too short to plant directly in the substrate, which is why they are going to grow in the filter until they are tall enough.
