It would vary by aquarium size. Canisters, HOB and even internal filters grace my tanks to ensure that flow is consistent throughout. Its really up to personal preference.

i have that diffusor and it was retired after 6 months. it clogged and was cleaned a few times. When it worked, it was okay but saturation in my 40g was never as good as it is today with a reactor....

Both the BML & Planted+ will be strong enough to produce hair algae and green spot on plants that reach the rim of the tank as the PAR will be extreme...
