Maybe a skippy filter? Not sure what your pond looks like but with some creative landscaping you can hide it. Just buy a small pond pump. Probably can get a 30-50 dollar pump that can easily handle...

I had two on my 125 long time ago. One was dead silent the other sounded like a lawn mower, no matter what I did to try to fix it it still was loud. I like my filters silent as can be.

I would leave the biggest rock you have but move closer to the center...but not too centered...just a little off. Agree with a red plant or two. And I would put it in front of your filter intake pipe...
