Same as joraan. Mines never melyed in my low tech shrimp tank. Although the leaves take forever to grow "big" it always put out new leaves though.

Heres a pic of it. I attached it to ss mesh. And it attaches itself to things pretty easy. Just the sinple basic tie it on with a string and let it sit and grow lol

If planting with tweezer, once you put the plant deep inside the substrate i would still have the tweezers inside the substrate and wiggle a little so the substrate falls in while i take the tweezers...

Tons in shrimp tank, their harmless and dont do much except breakdown mulum and dead debris. I bet your fishes eat them now and then as snacks. And yes it means you have a established tank.
