I've had my micro sword in my daughters 10g lowlight lowtech tank. It grows fine, spreading new runners, but it's very very slow. If you want to carpet with it I'd think twice.

I might give it a try. Like I said, I'd probably buy an indoor houseplant palm and take a full frond or two off of it, and let it sit outside for a week or two until it's completely dried out.

I ordered a Sun Sun canister from Amazon with UV light for 80 bucks. The sump just makes me nervous. I might use the 10g I bought for the sump and the glass tank baffles as dividers for fry now.

Day three of free swimming fry. I have seen only one casualty, out of at least 50 fish. This has really inspired me and I feel stoked about the fish keeping hobby!
