Two 70w mh on that tank would be plenty. I'm running 2x70w on a 90g (36x24x24") with excellent results, and minimum spill.

I've used h2o2 many times. Easiest way is to just hit it with 3ml per gallon for three days. I've done all the spot treating and turn off the filters stuff and I really don't think it's necessary....

Looks like you're off to a good start. I would recommend you get about 2-3x more plant mass in there though. Starting off with too few plants is not advised. Best of luck!

+1, riccia is a PITA. Fissidens is easier to maintain, will actually attach itself to the wood, and will look much more like a real tree.
