Yeah, the tape won't hurt anything and helps the seal. Did you find a washer? Our regulator came with one and it's a good thing to have.

CaribSea, that's what I used....black cost a little more than the reddish so I used the reddish colored substrate as a base and Caribsea black for the top layer...hope that helps!

Kerri's are also known as Blue Emperor Tetras...I've been trying to decide between them and regular Emperors for my own tank! So I can't wait to hear what you have to say about them...

I love Kerri Tetras! I don't have any because the lfs that stocks them....they didn't look good... They are a type of Emperor Tetra and are listed in one of my books with their care and breeding...
