Haha, I had a Yamaha FZ6 I spent 2 years learning on, traded it in for a Aprilia Tuono 1000 R. Going from a 80hp inline four to a 135hp twin...good lord. It's really something else.

Yeah man, kinda disappeared. I traded my old motorcycle in for a new one and it took more time and energy than I planned, so the tank got pushed to the back burner.

Eh, just aesthetically I think tanks look better if they follow either a horizontal or vertical line in uniform as far as equipment goes. You are right though, if I was to place it horizontally...
