if u only have plants. put in a loaches / puffers / betta for a few days to weeks

then scoop them out (if u have another community tank ) and then add whatever u planned to add

i have had ottos for years and tbh... i dont give them any special treatment.

they just survive / thrive with whatever food i feed the rest of the fish and whatever bio film is being created...

i had the same set up as you before. they don't bother each other for the most part. only issue i saw is territorial every now and then.

in a 55 gallon within a week, i lose about 5 gallon of water through evaporation and all sort.
then i siphon10 gallon worth and add 15 gallon...

Low Ph and Water Change Help

I am re-creating an amazon like water aka low ph.

Currently my water is at about 6.4ish according to API freshwater master kit.


My water out of the tap is around 7.4 ish.
My tank is a 55...

you will be fine. dont see any issues with them....

you will be fine. dont see any issues with them. you have to decide if u want to pin them down as they will float freely around the tank
