Your co2 limited, you need less light to be light limited. Then your algae issues will be gone. I dont think 1 hour of lack of co2 a day will give you algae.

Most plants will be ok for a week in transit. No need for overnight. Took 2-3 days to get plants from GLA to me and they were fine. He packs them very nicely.
