I'd go with the 180. I'm also 5'11" and have a 90 gallon that's 36"x24"x24"h, and that's about as deep as I would want, have to run the muscle shirt even at 24", lol.

I was messing around with a halogen desk lamp one night over the tank, the colors on the fish/shrimp were amazing! Much closer to what natural sunlight looks like on a tank, florescent, MH, and LED...

For anubs and java you don't need to be nerding out with optimizing your reflectors. 2 13w CFL's would be more than plenty light for your setup/plants even with no reflectors.

Get mh. I have that same tank with 2 70w on it. It hits 50-60 at the substrate with 6700k bulbs. I had a 250w mh on it but the shadowing from the center brace was annoying.
