I've never had to clean the glass since I got two Bristlenose plecos. The back wall of the tank was infested and difficult for me to clean.

They also clean my Anubias (which had algae problems)...

I can't find either of those in Canada. Big Al's did have the Red Sea one, but seem not to now. When I emailed DrsF&S about shipping on the Azoo filter, they told me it would be 92.00. :confused:

If you want rainbow fish, I saw some the other day I'd never seen before. "Gertrude's Blue-Eye", (Pseudomugil gertrudae) a type of very tiny rainbow fish. They're really lovely and would look great...

I have an empty 2.5 gal tank, filtered and heated. I'm going to use it to grow some plant cuttings.

Could I put a few shrimp in there? I'm planning to add some java moss as well.

That sounds nice.:)

For the cherry barbs, 2 males and 4 females would be a good ratio.

I would add a bristlenose pleco as well and a few more more rummynoses or cardinals.

I have one 20 gal tank that has only a 15 watt Zoo Med Tropic Sun light in it, and I have no trouble growing plants like Java fern, anubias and wisteria. Not great but better than nothing!:)

I have 11 watts in my 5 gallon Minibow tank. I have anubias, cabomba and java fern and they grow very well. Algae is minimal.

I also added a few stalks of wisteria and that grows TOO well.:eek5:
