Does anyone have any ideas as to why my shrimp keeping dying? It's really puzzling. There are only 2 Amanos and 2 RCS left. My nitrates usually fluctuate between 10-30ppm . No nitrites or ammonia....

Well 2 my RCS and 5 of my Amano shrimp died in the last week. I only have 2 left. They'll probably die too. Guess shrimp aren't my thing. Plants and fish are doing great though so that's good.

Nitrate: ~40 ppm
Phosphate: ~1-2 ppm
dgH: ~1 if that. May be lower.

Thanks for the comment acitydweller. I've thought about how the power heads could potentially kill shrimp, especially shrimplets, but without them I get a biofilm that forms on the water's surface....
