Best way to clear the water after filling a sand bottomed tank?

I tried with the filter on for the first few hours but it didn't seem to be helping so I turned it off. Now almost 24 hrs later its stillpretty cloudy, should I turn the filter back on? Its a 30gal...

How old are the foxes? I've heard that as they get older they quit eating so much algae. My clown loach does a good bit of algae eating, mostly off the driftwood and rocks.

Its been that fat for a while now, I call him my hotdog with fins. I was watching him last night and he couldn't swim straight up no matter how much he tried, he ended up having to swim diagonally....

His head looks too small for his body, he's as big around as a quarter. His buddy is the same length but way skinyer. Thoughts?
