Plexiglass tops?

Anyone ever tried having a custom cut piece of plexiglass for an aquarium lid? as opposed to the glass ones they sell in the stores.

I've never really had luck with Ludwigia in Eco Complete. It was a very, very slow grower, if at all.

So far, it looks like I'm going with a Cascade 300 power filter. It's rated for up to 100 gallon tanks and is only 45 bucks. Picked one up today. It's pretty much silent. I might need two, but hey...

Silent, non bulky HOB filter?

Anybody have any suggestions for a HOB filter that is silent or at least pretty quiet and that isn't that bulky? Can't see it really inside the tank? Besides the tube obviously. Gonna be using it on...

I'm gonna see what happens before doing anything. I had tanks before with huge gaudy filters in them and it kinda stuck out in my aquascape and I hated it. Don't wanna deal with that again

I've used Eco Complete before with great results. I'm kind of curious about Laterite... Can you use this stuff about an inch or so on the bottom of the tank and just throw some regular gravel on top...
