You would be much better off adding the old filter media from an established tank. You could throw that right into your filter for the new tank.

It is best not to mix the csm with the others. The others may be mixed, as they will be dosed at the same time. It is always best to dose the micro's(csm) on different days than the macros.

Well, making things a little more simple. I will prolly loose at least 4 gallons to substrate and hardscape. So that 29 becomes 25 gallon. so if i go for 2-3 wpg, then i need 65-75watts of pcf.
