A sorority (group of female bettas) needs to be at least 20g, and you'll have to get at least 5 bettas to distribute aggression. Also, the sorority can collapse rather quickly into anarchy. It's a...

Do you have a room that stays at the right temperature? You could try moving it, or just putting a regular room fan near it.
What light/filter are you using? Those could be contributing.

Perhaps you have unusually peaceful stock? Everything I've read on betta breeding says that the males will begin to fight at some point if you try to raise the fry all together. Or perhaps you were...

Serpae tetras will shred his fins to bits. Don't try that.
If you really want to reduce the number of tanks, you could use a divider to separate off a portion of the tank for him.

His back looks a little odd. Could he be a hybrid? The back thing doesn't look like a major issue, but it's worth noticing.
I'm still reasonably certain he's a giant danio, or at least part giant...

Aquabid.com is a good site. Not a forum, but definitely good. Also, Ebay can have some good stuff. In both cases, check seller reviews first. Or you could try a site like Liveaquaria.com.

They love moss. They'd probably like hair grass, too, and maybe a floater they can crawl around on.

Golden wonder killie is a bit of a jerk and will eat endler-sized fish. Best kept alone or with larger fish.

There are some gorgeous endlers available on Aquabid, and the really pretty ones are worth a bit IF you keep the line clean. You could also have a badis or two, but that'd lower your baby numbers a...

Ah, a golden wonder killie. Good choice. Just don't put any microrasboras with him, he'll eat 'em for breakfast and be begging you for more at dinner.

Scoop some out and see if they move of their own accord. If so, they're probably copepods. Harmless little bug-things. If you have a lot, most likely there's a large amount of food. Also, the lack of...

I think that tank is too small for most rainbows. Spotted blue eyes would probably be fine, or maybe forktails.
If you just want color, why not a school of rasboras, or perhaps some rummynose...

Before you get anything, consider sunfish. They're very neat, and (assuming it's legal in your state), you could keep a small group in there. Plus, you get to catch them as babies, grow them up, and...

Yek, leeches. How can I make sure they're gone?

I have a sunfish tank currently populated by wild-caught sunfish. I caught a warmouth (docile, predatory species of sunfish) recently and added it, after checking it over to see if it was healthy....

Honestly, I second the above. Fish tanks are a bit like gardens; if you mess with them too much, you can never get anything right. Just do water changes, feed, keep an eye out for disease, and leave...

Checkerboard cichlids are smallish and peaceful, and I don't think they'll eat full-sized amano shrimp. I'm not sure how they do in cooler water.
Or, for something unusual, look into bluespotted or...

Danios typically do better in a tank larger than 10g. If kept in a tank that's too small, they become aggressive and hyper and generally stressed, as they're very active fish who need larger spaces....

True, culling is applicable with ultra-common things like low-quality guppies. More humane than letting them end up in a packed feeder tank somewhere.

I like your plump little hybrid goldies....

Seconded. Fry should only be culled if they're poor quality (bad genetics or such) or injured. Plus, you're making an unusual fish slightly easier to find if you put more CPDs into the hobby. Also,...
