1.005 is fine

I have kept mine in salinities from 1.005 up to 1.025 (an initial mistake with buyer--there were some deaths). They act just as happy and vigorous and colorful at 1.005 as at 1.012. Willow moss...

Great shrimp. Brackish water. Few water changes. Love to eat the algae growth. Mine eat only that once established. Very active--little dolphins. Breeding tricky. Long-lived. Come in variety...

Have wondered if my glosso topping my wabi kusa could just be put in a bowl and kept very moist as a small terrarium. Thought it could, but wanted to check on here to be sure. Can take the top off...

with another forum member. Just with one of the sponsor/sellers. THAT was an eye opener. I find most forum members to be supportive of each other and trying to be helpful. But, admittedly, when...

Mine spent most of their time out of the rocks

in anything from a half gallon to a gallon container with never more than a dozen shrimp. I'd say 8-9 always swimming around in the water column or moving across the lava rock. So, I don't think it...

Google "plants for brackish water tanks"

You will find that many will do just fine at 1.005. The mosses all tolerate it. The nanas do fine. I know this bc I have a brackish tank for my brackish crab for almost two years. Marimo and java...

many plants possible with a 1.005 reading

If you keep your salinity down, you can keep all of the nanas, the mosses, the japanese moss balls, the myrio filligree, and a ton of other common plants you had no idea would tolerate a brackish...
