You'll need something to cleanly cut the PVC pipe. I use pipe cutter and a circular saw for the larger diameter pipes. You'll also need to learn how to solvent weld the PVC, which is easy to screw...

That's the problem with the impellers, they actually push the water and carry the CO2 out of the reactor more than without them. With the fixed bottom impeller (top rotating), the straight downward...

I've experimented with the impellers a lot, in almost all configurations. Removing them results in the best diffusion, though still not 100%. The impellers are a gimmick that looks cool but...

Glutaraldehyde does indeed break down into CO2. The amount is trivial, however.

This is an unproven assumption. There have been no experiment to understand the mechanism of action in plants.

At some point, the biocidal effects surpass whatever benefits it provides; i.e. it begins to damage/kill plant tissue. Also, if it were true that more glut = more CO2, then there should be a...

Further FYI:
The EVO Quad has a 3" distance from the end of the fixture to the LED. That means it's 6" shorter than the fixture length.

E.g. The 36" fixture is 34.5" long. Subtract 6" means...

It wouldn't provide 120 degrees after removing the lenses. You'd have to remove the splash guard off as well. But then it runs the risk of water exposure, unless there's a glass cover over the tank.

I see only the 10K, 60" version is available. I guess you could swap out and solder in new LEDs that would provide better color. FWIW, the color of the 6500K isn't great and I'm annoyed how...

One 3w fixture is way more than enough. These were originally designed for REEF lighting, not freshwater, so it's excessively over-powered. The sides of the tank must have coverage so a 60" fixture...

Also, the camera had to make a choice as to...

Fluorescent mercury vapor lamps have multiple spectral emissions, not unlike RGB LEDs. They grow plants just fine, though the spectrum isn't ideal. White LEDs are superior.
