If its temporary just use one of those rubbermaid or sterilite totes. Doesn't have to be an actual "fishtank" especially for short term. Doesnt even have to be clear!

Leak could be anywhere! use some soapy water around every possible connection and look for bubbles. I use a tiny little spray bottle filed with soap and water to check for leaks.
