The current state of the tank. Glass is a bit dirty this is at about 3 weeks of no trim or water change.

Careful of the betta log, I had one and it began to lose its paint and smell kind of weird after a while. I'm sure its okay though anyway but that kind of bothered me.

No inverts in the tank you could use algaefix and then fix the root issue causing your algae. Otherwise it will be a long battle of toothbrushing strands out for weeks(months?)
