Scotch tape is gonna fall as soon as it gets wet. And duct tape will leave a sticky residue.
Why not figure something out with a suction cup or one of those black paper clamps

I would consider getting a better regulator ( Sumo, Green Leaf Aquarium, or Victor). What size is your tank? And don't buy the pH controller invester your money in a decent needle valve.

Well the Expensive ones are more durable and they do have more weight with them, because a shaky tripod defeats the purpose. But just go with whatever suits you, you can always go get a cheap one...
