My box is still cool to the touch and so are the LEDs. Luckily the whole set is sitting right under my AC vent, so they are kept pretty cool. I also don't run my LEDs at 100%

I've had the lotus in there for over a year and it hasn'y gotten much larger than that. Regular trimming keeps the lotus small and close to the ground.
