I run two of my tanks (57 and a 27 cube) entirely...

I run two of my tanks (57 and a 27 cube) entirely on these illumilux of various spectrum. Does the job well, just lacking in reds.

They have been reliably growing plants for about three years.

I love my snails, I tend to keep red rams horns in most if not all of my tanks. The only reall annoyance I have with snails is their tendency to attack my water lily blossoms (barclaya and such)....

Look at BRS, spectra pure, and for the budget end Vertex. In that order. I threw vertex in their simply because it's cheap and decent enough.
