give them some time, I find once they start growing they'll do so very quickly.
they just need to acclimate to the change in environment.

I've seen ludwigia repens with deficiencies and this looks pretty dead on, would not be surprised if it was a ludwigia species, but it does look like ammannia...

If you find them unsightly, the only nerite I've seen that doesn't leave eggs are horned nerites.
