Same here. I'm using an Atomic inline diffuser on the inlet of an Eheim 2075. Works like a charm with no burps or bubbles.

I wouldn't consider them to have a heat issue just because they get a little warm to the touch. I've been using the same Burkert solenoid for years and it's still going strong.
